So why high protein coffees first?

My wife and I were sat at the breakfast table on a Saturday morning after she’d taught her classes (Spin and Pump) and I’d been to the gym and swimming with the kids and we were sat surrounded by various drinking vessels.  Two had protein shakes in (mine was a horribly expensive lactose free whey protein isolate and two were coffees. Add in the water we’d consumed intra-workout and our bladders were not only full then, but fit to burst consistently over the course of the next few hours!

Working from home...

12 months ago I made the ridiculous decision to quit my job and start Get Nourished.  I worked from home for a few months and with a young family that was pretty challenging at times!  I love them all to bits, but productivity was definitely not where it needed to be (more on that another day) and there was no separation between work and home.  Then I spotted this place being advertised on Facebook, went down to this shell of a disused Manor House

Jambalaya, Jambalaya. 

Firstly, please tell me you sang this to the tune of the classic 1994 contemporary latin song Bamboleo by the Gipsy Kings.  Please.  Aaaaaanyway.  Jambalaya.  One of my favourite dishes because; 

  1. it epitomises high protein deliciousness
  2. its really easy to make, ideal if you're entertaining
  3. making it gluten and lactose free is simple
  4. it goes well with a medium bodied red like a Pinot Noir and I love wine
